About Bond Osteopathy
One-on-one osteopathic care in Glen Iris, built around real time, clear answers and a plan that fits your life.
A considered,
personal approach
James is a registered osteopath and the founder of Bond Osteopathy. He holds a Bachelor of Health Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy), and is registered with the Osteopathy Board of Australia through AHPRA.
He started Bond out of a genuine passion for helping people, a fascination with how the human body works, and a desire to give back. That shows up in how he practises: real time with every patient, and care built around you rather than a routine.
Education is the heart of it
James takes real pride in making sure you understand what's going on. You'll leave knowing your diagnosis, why it's happening, and the plan to get you from where you are to where you want to be. That plan is built together, and you give informed consent at every step, so you're always in control of your care.
How James works
James takes a whole-body view. Rather than focusing only on where it hurts, he looks at how your joints, muscles and movement work together, and considers lifestyle factors like sleep, training load and activity where they're relevant. Every treatment is tailored to the individual: no two sessions are ever the same, and the goal is always to get you back to the things you love as quickly and safely as possible.
Training and techniques
Alongside his osteopathy qualifications, James has undertaken additional training in dry needling (including electro-dry needling) and myofascial cupping. He draws on a range of hands-on techniques, exercise prescription, and education chosen to suit each person rather than a one-size-fits-all routine. You can read more on the services and treatments page.
Who James treats
James enjoys treating people from all walks of life, from tradies and desk workers to weekend warriors. With his own sporting background he has a particular soft spot for athletes and active people, whether that's runners, gym-goers or team-sport players wanting to stay on the park.
Outside the clinic
Away from work, James is as active as his patients. He played soccer for over 15 years, spends time running (including marathon training) and training in the gym, and is always reading and researching to sharpen his practice. That active life is a big part of why he cares so much about getting people moving again.
